A good understanding of how to build a WordPress website will help you decide how much of your organisation’s website you can build yourself and at what point you might need additional support from a web developer. In this Digital Heritage Lab online masterclass recording, Paul Blundell shows you how to set up a WordPress website from scratch and takes you on a journey through the dashboard and the different elements and functions that you can utilise as you build or rebuild your organisation’s website.
This masterclass is broken down into three recordings:
Part 1 — The install — getting started with WordPress [This recording is one hour and six minutes in length.]
Part 2 — Building your new website [This recording is 32 minutes in length.]
Part 3 — Going live [This recording is 39 minutes in length.]
The Digital Heritage Lab is a project managed by the Arts Marketing Association (AMA) in partnership with Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy, One Further and the Collections Trust and funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the Digital Skills for Heritage initiative. It is a free programme for small and medium sized heritage organisations seeking to develop their digital capabilities and capacity.
