Oliver Edwards

Mae Oliver Edwards yn arbenigwr yn sector Diwydiannol, Morol a Thrafnidiaeth y diwydiannau treftadaeth a diwylliant, ac mae’n meddu ar brofiad o weithio mewn marchnata, cyfathrebu, datblygu busnes a rheoli prosiectau.

Wedi’i ysgogi gan ddiddordeb deuol yn ein hanes diwydiannol ac awydd i helpu sefydliadau i fod yn fwy gwydn, mae Oliver wedi cwblhau nifer o aseiniadau sylweddol. Mae’r rhain yn cynnwys codi £169,400 i Reilffordd Embsay & Bolton Abbey drwy gynnig llwyddiannus am grant, cydlynu ymgyrch ar gyfer Rheilffordd Ysgafn y Trallwng a Llanfair, a gynhyrchodd dros £140,000 mewn rhoddion, a chreu deunyddiau dehonglol ar gyfer nifer o amgueddfeydd.

Ddiwedd 2020, ymunodd Oliver yn haenen Y Lab o’r Lab Treftadaeth Ddigidol fel Mentor Sgiliau Digidol, gan feithrin datblygiad digidol gyda nifer o gyrff diwylliannol gan gynnwys Rhwydwaith Treftadaeth a Diwylliant Aberhonddu, Ymddiriedolaeth y Skylark IX Recovery Trust ac Ymddiriedolaeth y Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust (PRCLT).

Yn 2021, enillodd Oliver wobr genedlaethol gan Gymdeithas yr Heritage Railway Association.

Established over 25 years ago, the Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust (PRCLT) care for some of the most prized cultural assets of the glory days of steam rail travel as operators of West Shed Museum in Swanwick, Derbyshire. In this case study Oliver Edwards reflects on how this small heritage organisation has improved digital engagement with its small objects online collection to help the organisation tell its story.

Digital Heritage Hub is managed by Arts Marketing Association (AMA) in partnership with The Heritage Digital Consortium and The University of Leeds. It has received Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and National Lottery funding, distributed by The Heritage Fund as part of their Digital Skills for Heritage initiative. Digital Heritage Hub is free and answers small to medium sized heritage organisations most pressing and frequently asked digital questions.
