Mae Ruth yn addysgu’r cwrs MA mewn Diwylliant, Creadigrwydd ac Entrepreneuriaeth yn Leeds. Yn y gorffennol, bu’n addysgu modiwlau ledled Cyfadran y Celfyddydau, y Dyniaethau a Diwylliant, yn cynnwys Dadansoddi Diwylliannol, Llenyddiaeth Saesneg, y Diwylliant Gweledol a Hanes Celfyddyd.
Cwblhaodd ei gradd PhD mewn Damcaniaeth Feirniadol ac Astudiaethau Diwylliannol yn 2020. Roedd ei gwaith ymchwil yn ymwneud â’r berthynas rhwng ysgrifennu arbrofol, ymyriadau ffeministaidd mewn damcaniaeth seicdreiddiol, astudiaethau ôl-drefedigaethol ac arferion darllen moesegol. Mae hi hefyd yn golygu’r cylchgrawn astudiaethau diwylliannol Parallax, sef cyfnodolyn academaidd chwarterol a adolygir gan gymheiriaid lle cyhoeddir gwaith yn ymwneud ag astudiaethau diwylliannol, damcaniaeth feirniadol ac athroniaeth.
