MarketPlace case study: Brandon Gallery Hub

MarketPlace case study: Brandon Gallery Hub

SUMMARY

MarketPlace works across Fenland and the Forest Heath area of West Suffolk. This case study about their work with The Brandon Gallery Hub explores a new way to exhibit and experience art in a safe and socially distanced way.

MarketPlace has always worked closely with groups in Brandon thanks to the founding of the Brandon Creative Forum; who are a group of local volunteers and community members that organise cultural events and creative happenings in and around Brandon.

The Brandon Arts Society are a local arts and craft group that have previously exhibited at jointly programmed MarketPlace and Brandon Creative Forum Events. In 2020 the group celebrated their 40th Anniversary, however, due to the global pandemic they were not able to host the celebration and exhibition they had planned.

This case study explores a new way to exhibit and experience art in a safe and socially distanced way. It also looks at how they worked with artist Lee Mason to create a virtual gallery experience
