Interculturalism – the meeting place of different cultures

Interculturalism – the meeting place of different cultures

By Shabnam Shabazi

SUMMARY

Shabnam Shabazi of Pan Arts looks at the notion of interculturalism and explains how they see the arts as the most effective tool for building bridges, celebrating and overcoming differences as well as seeking out similarities so often neglected.

We are also a little like sociologists, archaeologists and architects, investigating and constructing new ways of working that give the voiceless a voice. We are very aware that in Britain a new generation is emerging. It is a generation that is born here and is familiar with the interplay between cultures and nationalities.
