Digital transformation is about changing how you do things, challenging traditional approaches, and creating new value for new audiences. It offers opportunities to create something unique and to employ technologies that provide new ways to experience heritage.

Level 1

This guide focuses on three approaches to digital transformation and what they can mean for your heritage organisation. Case studies explore how other organisations have embraced digital transformation, their experiences and the strategic pathways they have taken to change how they engage with their audiences.

Level 1

This panel discussion led by Dr Stephen Dobson features Michael Turnpenny, Head of Museum Development Yorkshire, David Johnson, Director of Strategy and Programmes at Cause4, and Jordan Taylor-Bosanko, Learning and Outreach Officer at the Museum of Cardiff. The panel discusses the key issues facing heritage organisations, approaches to partnerships, and the challenges of digital access when reaching audiences and offers insights from their own experiences working in and with the heritage sector.

You know what you're doing digitally but you want to do it better. You're keen to test and experiment and take your heritage organisation to the next level.

Digital Heritage Hub is managed by Arts Marketing Association (AMA) in partnership with The Heritage Digital Consortium and The University of Leeds. It has received Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and National Lottery funding, distributed by The Heritage Fund as part of their Digital Skills for Heritage initiative. Digital Heritage Hub is free and answers small to medium sized heritage organisations most pressing and frequently asked digital questions.
