Ruth Stevenson

Ruth Stevenson set up Edinburgh-based Ruthless Research in 2010 to use market research techniques to help organisations that work for the benefit of the community to make evidence-based decisions and become more sustainable.  As a result of Ruth’s passion for working in this area, Ruthless Research was shortlisted for the Consultancy of the year award by the Charity Times in 2012 and 2013.  Ruth has an ongoing interest in working with arts organisations, having previously worked as Research Manager at audience development agency The Audience Business.  Ruth later worked as Head of Research at the Scottish Development Centre for Mental Health, where she received an award for innovative and outstanding contributions to the field of arts and health inequalities research by the Royal College for Public Health for her work exploring the wellbeing impacts of arts attendance and participation.
