Emma Goad
Emma’s experience in the cultural world began 16 years ago with a degree from the Welsh College of Music & Drama.
Following an early career in Stage Management and then administration, in 2004 Emma was employed as Development Director for Sgript Cymru, the national company for new stage writing and this is where her love for fundraising took hold.
In 2007 Sgript Cymru merged with the Sherman Theatre to create Sherman Cymru.
As Head of Development for Sherman Cymru, Emma created the strategy that proved successful in raising funds for both revenue and capital projects. Emma also led the campaign to raise the match funding required to complete the £7 million redevelopment project following the substantial investment from the Arts Council of Wales.
Emma set up Blue Canary Fundraising in September 2014.
