Darlithydd mewn Creadigrwydd a Menter yw Stephen. Ef yw golygydd yr International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (IJEI). Mae ei ddiddordebau ysgolheigaidd yn cynnwys perfformatifedd trefol, labordai creadigol, entrepreneuriaeth, a’r diwydiannau diwylliannol a chreadigol. Cyn ymuno â Phrifysgol Leeds, bu Stephen yn gweithio fel Uwch-gymrawd Ymchwil yn y Ganolfan Ryngwladol ar gyfer Entrepreneuriaeth Drawsnewidiol (ICTE) ym Mhrifysgol Coventry, a hefyd yn Ysgol Fusnes Sheffield – yn gyntaf fel Cymrawd Ymchwil ac yna fel Uwch-ddarlithydd.

Mae wedi cynrychioli’r DU ar bwyllgor rheoli Academi Reolaeth Ewrop (EURAM). Gwelir bod safbwynt rhyngwladol yn perthyn i’w waith. Bu’n gweithio fel Rheolwr Rhaglen yn Sefydliad Affrica ar gyfer Entrepreneuriaeth Drawsnewidiol (AITE) (Prifysgol Coventry), gan weithio llawer gyda phartneriaid o Ghana, Nigeria, y Swdan, Senegal, De Affrica, Tansanïa, Ethiopia a Cenia. Cyflawnodd ddau brosiect Partneriaeth Addysg Uwch gyda phartneriaid o brifysgolion yn Fietnam. Mae’n aelod o sawl bwrdd golygyddol, yn cynnwys yr International Journal for Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research (IJEBR) a Historic Environment: Policy and Practice. Hefyd, mae’n arholwr allanol ar gyfer Prifysgol Ghana a Phrifysgol Dinas Hong Kong.
