Dave O’Brien
Dave O’Brien is Professor of Cultural & Creative Industries at the University of Sheffield’s Management School. Prior to this he was Chancellor’s Fellow in Cultural and Creative Industries at the University of Edinburgh. He has published extensively on sociology of culture and cultural policy, and his latest book, co-authored with Orian Brook and Mark Taylor, Is ‘Culture is bad for you: Inequality in the Cultural and Creative Industries’. He is currently part of several research projects, including a large-scale AHRC funded project assessing the impact of Covid-19 on the cultural sector in the UK.
