Angela Jackson

In June 2013, it was announced that Angela Jackson’s debut novel The Emergence of Judy Taylor had been shortlisted for an Amazon Rising Stars award. The book was also shortlisted for the Sainsbury’s First Book Award.  Angela was also recently named as one of UNESCO City of Literature’s emerging writers. She accepted an award from Bidisha at Oxford Union in 2010 for her short story, Poker Face, which was published and well-received as part of an anthology.

When she’s not writing, Angela is also coach and a lecturer in psychology and education. Her research into music psychology has been covered by the national media, and her recent paper was published in a peer reviewed journal in May 2011.
